Investing in a strategic initiative, Cooabriel is launching the Performance Rewards Program, a differential that aims to recognize the commitment of its more than 550 employees.&nbsp;
The program is being structured based on various indicators, involving analysis of economic and financial data, pre-established results contracts with the workforce and individual performance assessments.&nbsp;
According to Cooabriel's corporate administrative manager, Tayani Mauri, the initiative stimulates professional development and encourages more active and cohesive participation with the cooperative's goals and strategies. &ldquo;This model not only contributes to employee engagement, but also reinforces a sense of belonging, closely linked to the cooperative's purpose.&rdquo;&nbsp;
To help plan the guidelines and parameters that will be adopted, the program was monitored by the Dom Cabral Foundation, through its associate professor, M&aacute;rcio Ara&uacute;jo Rabelo. According to the specialist, productivity and motivation are among the gains of an initiative of this nature. &nbsp;
&ldquo;A program like this brings a series of benefits, both for employees and for the company, since it puts the employee at the center of the conversation, connecting objectives and goals. Cooabriel's general superintendent, Carlos Augusto Pandolfi, explains that this was an important agenda within the cooperative's strategic planning. According to him, the consolidation of the program is the result of a long process of internal structuring and aims to reflect the culture of valuing the workforce. &nbsp; &nbsp; &ldquo;Our values are very much focused on our members, to whom we direct a series of initiatives, but they also extend to our employees. This new program makes that even more visible.&rdquo; Pandolfi points out that the new program strengthens bonds and expands the benefits package already on offer, making the institution more attractive for attracting and retaining talent, which is vital for consolidating the goals and objectives set. &nbsp;
For Cooabriel's president, Luiz Carlos Bastianello, &ldquo;the program goes beyond a simple bonus, representing concrete recognition for the commitment and dedication that employees give to the institution. It's a way of sharing part of the results with the employees who, in fact, make a very significant contribution to achieving them&rdquo;.&nbsp;

Cooabriel employees to benefit from Performance Rewards Program

On its way to India! An unprecedented agreement for Cooabriel has resulted in 21 containers of coffee being sent to the South Asian country. Shipments began in July and are being made in installments, with more expected.&nbsp; &nbsp; The opening up of this market, whose traditions denote a preference for teas, represents a promising opportunity. Coffee consumption in India is on the rise, driven by new habits and changes in the socio-economic and cultural profile of Indians.&nbsp;
&ldquo;There is a tendency for consumption to increase in countries where beverages other than coffee once stood out, such as Japan, China and India itself,&rdquo; analyzes Cooabriel's export and sustainability manager, Renata Vaz. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; The unprecedented negotiation was received with optimism by the cooperative and comes at a time of new arrangements in the international market, which is being influenced by climatic conditions and logistical difficulties in important producing origins, which, in turn, gives rise to a significant increase in the volume of Brazilian exports. &nbsp;
&ldquo;These are opportunities that Brazilian coffee is accessing in markets that were previously less explored or where it had not yet gained a significant share,&rdquo; says Vaz.&nbsp;
<div>In this scenario, the conilon from Esp&iacute;rito Santo is also expanding significantly, according to Cooabriel's president, Luiz Carlos Bastianello. &ldquo;The significant advance in quality, combined with the adoption of increasingly sustainable production processes, is helping to make the variety attractive to the international market, representing a very favorable moment for conilon,&rdquo; Bastianello says.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div>

<div>Although the current moment is 'windy', with new frontiers and markets being accessed, logistical issues related to shipments at Brazilian ports require attention. &ldquo;In order to continue to maintain these markets as export markets, we need to be logistically efficient, since regular deliveries are essential for maintaining these markets and are a determining factor for competitiveness against other producing countries,&rdquo; Vaz concludes.</div>

<div>However, even in the face of logistical adversities, exports have reached successive records. Data from the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecaf&eacute;), which takes into account the months of January to September 2024, shows that canefora coffees (conilon and robusta) are the highlight of this year's shipments, with a record of more than 7 million bags sent abroad, representing a significant growth of 170.4% compared to 2023.&nbsp;</div>

In an unprecedented export, Cooabriel sends conilon coffee to the Indian market 

In partnership with XP Investimentos, the cooperative signed a contract for 100 bags for delivery in November and marks a new chapter for coffee from Esp&iacute;rito Santo in the financial market.&nbsp;
Cooabriel, Brazil's largest conilon coffee cooperative, has become the first to trade conilon coffee on the S&atilde;o Paulo Stock Exchange (B3), marking a historic moment for agribusiness in Esp&iacute;rito Santo, in an operation brokered by XP Investimentos.&nbsp;
The operation was registered on September 23, the date that marked the start of trading in the conilon/robusta (coffea canephora) coffee futures contract on the B3.&nbsp;
For Cooabriel's superintendent, Carlos Augusto Pandolfi, the cooperative left its mark on this historic day for conilon coffee. &ldquo;We are certain that this operation will open doors and opportunities for conilon coffee producers in Esp&iacute;rito Santo and Brazil,&rdquo; said Pandolfi.&nbsp;
Impact on Esp&iacute;rito Santo's agribusiness&nbsp;
Esp&iacute;rito Santo is the largest producer of conilon coffee in Brazil and this inclusion on B3 reinforces the state's competitiveness on the national and international stage. According to the Secretary of Agriculture, Enio Bergoli, who played an active role in the negotiations, the conilon futures contracts represent a new chapter for the state's main economic activity. &nbsp;
Bergoli says that a contract model has been developed that provides another instrument for better risk management, especially during periods of market price fluctuations. &ldquo;When a producer puts his product up for future sale, he obviously calculates his cost of production and can now gamble with a portion by having a guarantee of at least part of the production to reduce the risk of operations,&rdquo; he explains.&rdquo;&nbsp;
In addition to its work in the domestic market, Cooabriel has excelled in exports. In 2023, the cooperative recorded a 28% increase in exports, as it has dedicated itself to maintaining and opening up new markets. In the process, it achieved an unprecedented feat: the first export of conilon coffee to Egypt. This move reinforces the cooperative's strategy of expanding its international presence and opening up new markets for coffee from Esp&iacute;rito Santo.&nbsp;

In a historic moment, Cooabriel becomes the first to trade conilon coffee on the São Paulo Stock Exchange 

The Cooabriel Agribusiness Fair, considered the largest fair in the sector in the state of Esp&iacute;rito Santo, closed its 2024 edition with record financial turnover. More than R$ 692 million in business was recorded during the three-day event, held between July 25 and 27.&nbsp;
Based in S&atilde;o Gabriel da Palha, in the northwest of Esp&iacute;rito Santo, the fair is run by Cooabriel, considered to be the largest conilon coffee cooperative in the country. &nbsp;
The event brought together the main national and multinational brands in the agricultural sector. In this edition, there were more than 80 exhibitors, accommodated in a structure with more than 20,000 square meters of covered area. &nbsp;To encourage negotiations, the exhibitors included 7 financial institutions, including private, public and credit cooperatives.&nbsp;
Cooabriel's general superintendent, Carlos Augusto Pandolfi, believes that the strong growth in numbers is due to a number of factors. &nbsp;
"The producers understood the importance of the fair and waited for the moment to do good business. As a result of the success of the three previous editions, the exhibitors and, above all, the credit institutions, prepared themselves to offer specific and extremely attractive business conditions for the fair. In addition, the cooperative's commitment to organizing and holding the fair and the very relevance and credibility of the event, contributed to the results being so expressive," he says.&nbsp;
Offering a wide range of technologies and products for the countryside, such as inputs, machinery, implements and solar energy, the fair also creates various opportunities for technical knowledge for its visitors, who numbered more than 21,000 over the three days. &nbsp;

Taking advantage of the reach of the public and the volume of business, traditional brands in the harvesting and input market recognized the event as an opportunity to present their new products to the market. &nbsp;The launches included a self-propelled harvester, a pillar machine and a herbicide for difficult-to-control plants, all aimed at the conilon coffee crop.&nbsp;
Cooabriel's president, Luiz Carlos Bastianello, believes that the significant figures are the result of work that has been carried out seriously over time and which has brought credibility to the institution. &nbsp; &nbsp; "Seriousness, professionalism and dedication are requirements which, when added together, have resulted in the success of the fair, generating value, business and results for all those who took part. The feeling is one of accomplishment and gratitude to all the people who believed in our work and joined us to achieve such a significant result. This is the fuel for us to make the event better and better," he says. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The next edition of the Cooabriel Agribusiness Fair was confirmed during the event and will take place on July 24, 25 and 26, 2025.&nbsp;

ES's largest agribusiness fair ends 2024 edition with more than R$690 million in negotiations 

The project aims to bring knowledge to the cooperative members, as well as allowing them to get a closer look at the economic potential of this niche.
A pilot project designed to combine beekeeping with conilon coffee plantations, further strengthening the relationship between sustainability and productivity: this is the proposal of the Cooabriel Apiary, recently installed at the cooperative's Experimental Farm in S&atilde;o Domingos do Norte. &nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;"We're preparing the structure to double the number of hives by the end of this year. The idea is for the apiary to be a place of study and training, both for those who already work and for those who want to get into the business," he explains.&nbsp;
Beekeeping can be a great ally for coffee growers, bringing benefits in several<img style="float: right;" src="https://br-com-centraldeimobiliarias.s3.sa-east-1.amazonaws.com/arquivos_gestor_blog_posts/37107d74-7fa5-45fe-bf69-46fdc500a13d.png" width="160" height="190"> &nbsp;aspects. Studies suggest that pollination, which is essential for many crops, including conilon coffee, can be enhanced by the presence of bees in the fields, as explained by Jos&eacute; Roberto Gon&ccedil;alves, Cooabriel's corporate agricultural manager. &nbsp;&nbsp;
"The impact that bees and other pollinating insects have on the crops is visible, bringing gains both in productivity and in the standardization and quality of the fruit." &nbsp;&nbsp;
According to Gon&ccedil;alves, adopting good practices makes it perfectly possible to reconcile crop management with the presence of bees on farms. &nbsp;
"In order to optimize results, it's important that crops are managed with attention to certain criteria. There are a number of phytosanitary products on the market that can be used in integrated management, making it possible to preserve both the bees and the coffee tree flowers," he concludes. &nbsp;&nbsp;

"The pilot project was designed with sustainability in mind, but also with the possibility of it being a new economic activity for the cooperative members, where it would be possible to make a financial return. &nbsp;The installation of this apiary will make it possible to map out these opportunities and provide a broader view of the potential of this market," he says.&nbsp;

Cooabriel Apiary: new project aligns with the cooperative's sustainability actions 

The sum of a number of factors has led conilon from Esp&iacute;rito Santo to reach historic export volumes. In this scenario of good opportunities, not only the more traditional markets have been the destination of the grains, but new and important consumer strongholds have been accessed. &nbsp;
Cooabriel, Brazil's largest conilon cooperative, has been following this trend. Reaching new frontiers, the institution consolidated its first sale to the Middle East. The unprecedented deal resulted in 18 containers of conilon coffee being sent to Egypt. &nbsp;
As in other Arab countries, the African nation brings with it cultural heritage that translates into some particularities in coffee consumption, including the use of spices such as cinnamon and cardamom.

"The Arab market in general has a way of drinking coffee that is different from the Brazilian habit. The fact that we have access to this public shows that there is a change in consumption patterns," he says. &nbsp;
In another sign of change, the option for coffee to replace drinks such as tea is advancing significantly. This means that the country is seen as a consumer stronghold that is booming. &nbsp;According to Vaz, "reaching these new frontiers shows that conilon has a beverage standard that can be accepted in the most diverse markets," he adds. &nbsp;

In the analysis of the cooperative's president, Luiz Carlos Bastianello, the evolution in the quality of conilon, combined with the work to promote the variety abroad, is contributing to the expansion of the area of operation. &nbsp;
"The cooperative's aim is to continue encouraging the improvement of production processes and the continuous improvement of quality. To the extent that markets with differentiated values are reached, we will consequently be able to bring this remuneration to our cooperative members," Bastianello concludes.&nbsp;
