Certification

The demand for sustainably produced food is a trend in the market. The 4C (Common Code for the Coffee Community) is an independent, internationally recognized sustainability standard that aims to guarantee sustainability in the coffee supply chains (production and processing).

Sustainability is the ability to produce to meet the needs of the present without compromising future generations.

To this end, the term Sustainability consists of guaranteeing harmony between 3 factors: economically viable, socially fair and environmentally correct.

Cooabriel, despite this market trend and aware of the importance of sustainable practices in production processes, manages a group of 4C-certified producers, as well as establishing partnerships for this purpose.

In recognition of the best practices and as an incentive to continue investing in sustainable production, the cooperative passes on a percentage of the value obtained from the sale of sustainable coffee to the producer included in the 4C Certification. In 2023, the award exceeded R$300,000.00.
